Baby on the Go.......

Big night for Joel! He really crawled for the first time tonight.....on the eve of his nine-month birthday! We were waiting for Rob to get home from the YMCA and were playing on the floor. He has discovered how to tip over the little basket of toys we have in the living room, and he was rolling away from me after dumping out all of his toys. To try and get him to come back, I sat Elmo up by me and squeezed his hand to make him talk. Joel loves that Elmo! He got up on all fours and started rocking back and forth, as usual. This time, slowly but surely, he stayed up on his knees and crawled about two feet to grab Elmo. I think I scared him when I started clapping! He won't win any races yet, but I think he is on his way to mastering the crawling thing. Watch out Bailey.....the boy is on the move! :0) The bad thing is that he is not cooperating at all with going to bed tonight and he has his Sears appointment in the morning for his 9 month pictures. Hopefully he settles down soon or it could be a LONG morning! More later...
